Kaety and Mark both work for Oregon Sea Grant. Kaety as a fisheries extension agent and Mark as the manager of OSU’s Cyberlab project. Kaety is a Newport native, while Mark is a Willamette valley transplant who moved here for love. They also are both active in their community, Kaety serves as the President for the Lincoln County Foster Parents Association, and Mark is the president of the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts.
Their dance experience includes awkward rocking back and forth at 80s and 90s proms, an occasional sprinkler move, a Safety Dance, and in Kaety’s case, years of Ballet, which was swiftly abandoned for a chance to fish with her dad.
They have an active family life, raising 5 children, which includes a lot of love, laugher, chaos and poop. They decided to do this to enhance the moves they bring to dancing in the kitchen together.
